Degenerarte is a multidisciplinary team that is introducing professionals from different industries into the NFT space. As a side collection, our team will be collaborating on the DDE to provide artistic value to the participants, educational value to our team, scientific value to the space and more.
Degenerarte’s Degenerate Social Psychology Experiment - the process.
The art team involved in the front end of the DDE are the amazing and talented Right Rain Art, Cadaver Gallery, and HyperR. They will be taking reservations to make 1/1 PFP in their own styles of those who manage to reserve them.
On reserving a token each participant will be required to fill out a questionnaire:
In this questionnaire participants will be asked questions:
1. Whether or not they wish to participate in the social psychology experiment.
2. They will also be asked to send in 2 mugshot style photographs.
3. They will be asked their preferences of colour scheme.
All who complete the questionnaire and purchases their reservation card will receive a personalised 1/1 NFT portrait of themselves. Participation in the DDE will theoretically give much more back to the commissioner.
The questionnaire will have a link to a test based on Karl Jung’s theory of archetypes. They will be required to complete this test and receive one of 16 personalities.
These personality types will be artistically interpreted by each of our DDE team and the works will be added to our grand-finale results collection at the end of the experiment (name under consideration probably DDR).
Every participant will receive the file containing their personality interpreted PFP and will be allowed to enter a private presale for their likeness in the grand-finale results collection.

Our 3 artists are not the only members of the team that will be interpreting your personality type. Our composer and architect have both committed to designing their interpretations too, music and spaces.
Degenerarte’s Degenerate Social Psychology Experiment - the research component.
Degenerarte’s Degenerate Experiment (DDE) will be a step in the direction of bringing health science to the Metaverse, scientific literacy to the household and art into the scientific process. The experiment will be ongoing and we will be publishing our results on the blockchain and within a journal.
There are many issues in scientific research. Key problems that we aim to address through the DDE (there are many more) are: compliance filling in questionnaires, data ownership & use, geopolitical limitation on sample collection, demographic variation, the understanding of the research process and funding of new research.
In keeping with the web3 pragmatism, this collection will not immediately shift the paradigm in which research is conducted. The DDE will show that it can be done and will look to future opportunities to conduct further research. The DDE will be an innovative step towards a different methodology that could enable healthcare, and researchers across different professions to reach participants worldwide and provide them with value in exchange for cooperation.
The experiment will collect anonymised data for use in a publication on personality types in the space and their behaviours within the NFTs space. The experiment will also shine a spotlight onto the behaviours and personalities of the artists themselves throughout the experiment. What kinds of bias will they have and how will that influence interpretations of other personalities? Will the artworks evolve into something entirely different? Will they discontinue the project? Will more artists enter the project and how will their popularities be determined.
We will ultimately be looking at how a model that incorporates artwork, music, architecture can be of value in contrast to the purely monetary model that targets demographics at the behest of certain companies.
As with many establishments, meaningful change will take time. In that time Degenerarte would like to provide value to each of our participants, build a community and organisation that will enable us to pursue innovative projects in each of our team’s fields and bring about real change together with our community. The NFT revolution can reach scientific research through more than just donation, we would like to be here when it does.

We are launching a monthly community arts competition from November to help new artists from all backgrounds disciplines and enter the space!
These collections will feature iconography of the space and the communities within this will serve as a window into the market and to the hearts of Degens far and wide.
Our artists will participate when their careers allow and we would like to open doors for those hoping to start but do not yet know where to begin.
It is rumoured that Morvaiworkin himself, one who cannot draw to save his life will participate in an effort to rid talented artists of self doubt in releasing their collections. More details to come!
